Cockapoo Rescue

Cockapoo Rescue Dogs In California

Looking for Cockapoo rescues in California? These are the Cockapoo rescue dogs (and associated breeds) that are currently up for adoption in California. This list is currently only updated once a week as it takes time to collate the information on the cockapoo rescues in your area. The last update was performed on 27 April 2012.

Please note that the list may not be complete as not all the Cockapoo rescue dogs in California details are put on line. Contact your local dog rescue center to find out if they have (or know of) a Cockapoo rescue waiting to be adopted near you in California!

Why are there other dogs shown rather than just cockapoo rescues in California? Well, we only currently only search a small number of the animal shelters in California for Cockapoo rescues that are available for adoption and not all the shelters will have a Cockapoos. So rather than show nothing we show the breeds that are similar to the Cockapoo - all the dogs in the shelters in California need homing, can you see your next dog below?

(Poodle) Isaac - Small - Male

Isaac
This is Isaac. Isaac about 1.5 years poodle maybe shih tzu. Isaac recently participated in our buddy day, shelter volunteer day, and here's what his buddy said about their hour together: He'd rather stand on his hind legs for treats than sit, but he will sit once you get his attention. He was good with Biscuit & all the other dogs & didn't seem phased by the cats. He did bark at the horses though lol. He pulled a little on the leash at first, but just because he was excited. He walked well on the leash & liked getting his belly rubbed & getting cuddles :). His adoption fee is $250. Adoption fee at the event is payable in cash or check only, no credit cards.). This dog has been spayed or neutered, wormed and up to date with vaccinations. We strongly recommend after adopting a dog it be taken to your vet for a general health exam and fecal screening to make sure they are clear of all parasites. While we do provide medical care for these items, sometimes in a kennel environment, something can go undetected. Having your new pet screened will help ensure their health once you take them home. That is another reason we suggest activating the free insurance for the first month. Ask to have this dog transported to Dublin's PetSmart on Saturday, April 28th. (Cocker Spaniel) PICASSO - Medium - Male

PICASSO
Picasso needs a temporary foster home or a forever home.Hello,Hope you are the one for me...I am a perfect furry angel with one eye. I don't remember how I lost my eye. In October 2010, I was brought to the CCSPCA as a stray. I weigh about 30 pounds. Due to my good nature, the staff at the CCSPCA tried to find me a home. After 5 months of being in the kennel, I still didn't lose my hope that someone will come take me home. One day a compassionate woman took me home just in time for a second chance.Currently, I am living with my guardian and her other rescued animal companions(cats and dogs). She takes good care of us. I enjoy walking daily and playing with other companions. Sometimes her friends would take us to the dog park, too. I am playful and happy living with my guardian and other companions. However, my guardian wants to continue her rescue mission. If I stay with her, she will not be able to rescue other animal companions that need her more than I do. She loves and cares for me deeply, but she is trying to find me another home with another friendly dog and nice children to play with me.I like cats, but they are afraid of me.:( I like to sit and snuggle with the cats that get along with my kind. To be safe, I prefer to be with other dogs of similar temperament. Please contact Rassami for more information and to schedule a time for us to meet. If you live in the Fresno area, Humanity for Healthy Animals Foundation will include 10 free dog training classes with your donations.Thank you for your interest.Love,PicassoAll ofHFHAF's adoptableanimal companionsare in foster homes. If you would like to meet this pet please email rassami@hfhaf.org to make an appointment. Our adoption process invloves filling out an application and a mandatory home visit. If you live out of town, we can still arrange a home visit. We would like to ensure that this pet will be a good fit for your family. If you would like to volunteer to be a foster caregiver for our animals HFHAF will pay for all veterinary care and dog food. (Cocker Spaniel) Joey - Small - Male

Joey
My name is Joey, I am a three and half year old boy and I am looking for a special home. I know that it has to be special because thats what I am.special! I was in a crowded shelter and day by day my kennel mates were taken away until I was the only one left. About that time a nice lady stopped by to look at me, when she looked up at my kennel card she got real sad. I wasnt feeling very good and I had a bad cough so I thought that was what she was sad about. The nice woman looked at my chart again and said yes, she would take me. As she picked me up I looked at my chart and saw a large E on it. I dont know what it meant and I dont care as my life is looking up... I had a bad case of kennel cough but I am over that now and I am vaccinated, neutered, micro chipped, bathed, brushed and clipped.I look like a new man! The Dog Doc says that I am a parti-colored Cocker Spaniel. if that be the case, let the parties begin. I am in a foster home with a really nice family and they are teaching me the ways of a house dog, which is just where I want to be, in the house. I am fine with the other dogs but we dont know about cats. My one disclaimer is that I like to dig, and I mean I REALLY dig! Because I am so good at digging my Foster Mom feels my outdoor time must be supervised. She also thinks a sandbox for me to play in would be nice.OK, I admit it, I added that last part. (Poodle) Genesis - Small - Female

Genesis
Genesis is now ready for adoption. Genesis is a 3 month old Poodle mix. Right now she only weighs about 10 lbs. Just in case you forgot Genesis was pulled out of the kill room at the CCSPCA minutes before she was to be killed for being too timid during Last Call. She was the only one out of her kennel that made it out alive. Genesis is one of the last dogs we were able to pull from the CCSPCA. Genesis is a sweet, loving, spunky little girl. She is a little shy at first (wouldn't you be after all she has been through and probably saw). Once she knows she is in a safe place she lets loose and will run up and down the hallway, play with other dogs (big and small), or jump onto the couch and cuddle up right next to you. She is crate trained and doing very well on her house training. Most of the time I can take her outside and tell her to go potty and she will go right to the grass and go potty. She is such a great puppy to have around and would make a great addition to any family! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed, given age appropriate vaccines, and have had a dose of frontline flea treatment. (Cocker Spaniel) Shaggy Boys (Ritzy) - Small - Male

Shaggy Boys (Ritzy)
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We recently got a call to help save a group of dogs that were in a hoarding situation. We took puppies and adults, all in various stages of socialization (or lack of) and all severely neglected in terms of grooming and general care. We are providing the grooming, health care, sterilization and most of allTLC for these dogs in hopes of finding all of them wonderful homes of their own.The Shaggy Boys are young adult males (probably brothers @ 2years old). They appear to be Cocker/Poodle mixes. All of them were in need of serious grooming and had to be mostly shaved. They are learning about new things- just felt grass for the first time and are cautiously approaching people. They are interested but uncertain. Once they decide to approach, all of them have started to bond with the foster mom. We will keep updating their page with new photos and info.Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes. All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes. If you are interested in providing a loving home for a Ritzy Rescue or Posh Puppy you must complete an online application at www.cvrr.usWe are only able to respond to interested parties who have completed applications online. Thank you. Many of our dogs can be seen at Petsmart in Visalia on Saturdays between 10 and 3. View this pet on Petfinder.com

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We recently got a call to help save a group of dogs that were in a hoarding situation. We took puppies and adults, all in various stages of socialization (or lack of) and all severely neglected in terms of grooming and general care. We are providing the grooming, health care, sterilization and most of allTLC for these dogs in hopes of finding all of them wonderful homes of their own.The Shaggy Girls are part of this group. We believe they are sitsters and are @ 1 year old. They appear to be Maltese/Poodle crosses; although Suki looks a little more Cocker/Poodle. They are sweet, gentle and ready for loving homes.Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs.

JOE COCKER
Meet Joe! Joe is a sweet, older cocker spaniel. Estimated to be about 10 years old, Joe is partially deaf, hearing only loud enough sounds. (Cocker Spaniel) Copper - Medium - Male

Copper
WANTED A FOREVER HOME FOR COPPER Please contact Teri in Dublin, CA @ 925-997-9864 or tltate55@comcast.net for an appointment. Copper is a very loving and sweet male cocker spaniel-poodle mix. He is 1 year old (DOB 4/11/2011), goal weight of 14 lbs, 12-14 tall, neutered, micro chipped & current on all his shots. He likes rawhide chews & will spend hours working on them. Copper loves to be outdoors especially when its warm & bask in the sun & chase squirrels. He is a good watch dog & will alert his owners when he hears the doorbell/knocking. Copper is shy with new people until he feels comfortable with them. But after he gets to know you he will want to be loved, held, petted & brushed. He is a cuddle bug & will sit quietly next to you. One look into those big brown eyes & your heart is sure to melt. He is socialized with other dogs & loves to spend hours at a time playing with them. Copper is a good eater & likes to sleep in his own bed. Copper came from a home of 5 unruly children all under the age of 12 & is weary of small children. It may be best if he finds a home without children. When he came to me in Sept 2011, he had been hit by a car in August, & his left rear legs femur ball had been severed. He had surgery & is recovering nicely. For the next 5 months, Coppers Vet recommends he needs daily exercise daily to fully regain muscle/ligament strength such as daily walks, climbing stairs & walking on his hind legs and he needs to keep his weight under 14 lbs. Copper is working on basic commands-sit, stay, come, etc. & not 100% potty trained & partially "pee pad trained". If taken outside regularly he doesnt have "accidents". With a little bit of work &/or pet door trained, he can be the perfect companion for a caring, loving adult. View this pet on Petfinder.com
